THE EMBOTIDOS
"THE EMBOTIDOS is a passion project that was born on 08/08/2020, at the height of the pandemic. We both work in healthcare and doing The Embotidos was a respite from all the stresses and depression brought about by Covid19.
Why ""embotido"" (aka Filipino-style meatloaf/ meatroll), you may ask? Aside from it being a traditional family recipe that was handed down to us, very aptly too, embotido to most Filipinos is a happy, party food, commonly served during fiestas or milestone events. A bite of it brings back a lot of good memories from yesteryears: kitchen memoirs and festivities from home. The smell of it reminds us of memorable reunions and holidays.
The whole process of making embotidos is a labor of love: painstakingly handrolled, wrapped, and steamed. With this in mind, we thought of sharing the love, good vibes, and the happy feels it brings to friends and family. It was our way of connecting to them in spite and despite of social distancing. From our inner circle, it organically spread to friends of friends of friends, relatives of relatives of relatives.
From one flavor of Classic Porky, we came up with Classic Chickie as an option to those who don’t eat pork… and in a blink of an eye, our menu list grew! Currently, we offer a total of 11 savory and out-of-the-box flavors, including, kid-approved Four Cheese Porky and Four Cheese Chickie, everyone’s fave Salted Egg Porky and Salted Egg Chickie. After that, we developed the Nori Collection: Spicy Nori Porky, Spicy Nori Chickie, and then came our seafood flavor which is a combination of Crab + Shrimp, hence, the name Crimp Nori. The Nori Collection turns out to be a fave amongst non-Filipinos. On the other hand, our latest additions: Smoky Bacon is the ultimate embotido for pork lovers, while Totally Tofu, a 100% meatless embotido that’s best for vegetarians out there.
Word of mouth had been and will always be our backbone. While excellence, innovation, and connection, our core. We hope to be a part of the modern Filipino and Fil-Am families out there by satisfying their cravings for quality and flavorsome embotidos that are made of premium and freshest ingredients.
THE EMBOTIDOS is fully cooked and frozen, easy to prepare and serve — which makes it a perfect choice for the busy lifestyle here in the US. We wish to be present not only during parties or special occasions, but also every single day. Because come to think of it, after how the pandemic affected us and the whole world, we can say that every day calls for a celebration — YOU and your loved ones deserve a delicious serving of THE EMBOTIDOS on your table. That’s why we greatly thank the Filipino-American Foodie Community for welcoming THE EMBOTIDOS: The Pioneer in Gourmet Flavored Meatrolls…into their homes.
